More than a trend
Purple Sapphire Solitaire
.9ct oval cut purple-orange sapphire in hand carved 14k gold setting.
Incredibly unique Montana sapphire with purple to orange color change. This natural, unheated stone reflects different colors depending on light, changing from deep purple to maroon, with surprising pops of orange. Sourced from rough and custom cut here in Los Angeles.
Depending on the angle and the light, there is a visibly silky inclusion that appears, though it is hardly noticeable and only seen when looking for it. Almost like a little phantom inclusion - sometimes it's there and sometimes it isn't. This has been factored into the price.
Hand carved bezel setting sits low on the hand at only 5mm tall. Fits well with stacking bands. The band is 2.3mm thick in the back, and tapers to 1.3mm where it meets the sapphire. The face of the sapphire plus the gold perimeter is 7.8 x 6.3mm.
Ready to ship as size 6, please leave note at checkout if you'd like it resized (allow 1-2 weeks for delivery).

Dear Survivor is an LA based sustainable fashion brand founded by designer Christine Howell in 2015. Our collection has ranged from leather purses to fun and fine jewelry, but our purpose has always remained the same: to prove that the consumer market can be a powerful place to create positive change. We do this through our three main tenants - empowering survivors, sustainable design, and ethical manufacturing.
For us, sustainability means designing with scrap materials. Rather than letting perfectly good material go to waste, we are giving it a second life as jewelry.
Since day one, we’ve donated a portion of every sale to GenerateHope and their fight against human trafficking. With your support, we’ve donated over $30,000 to their restorative programs.
We’ve searched far and wide for the best manufacturing partners the US has to offer. Learn more about our partnership with Refugee Artisan Initiative and our LA factory here!
