New logo, colors, products, website, copy, and finally a journal!
Hope you stay a while and explore everything. This summer I decided to rebrand DS as I felt like the company was turning the page on a new chapter. Here are some of the big changes:
- We've defined our mission and are sticking to it: To empower people and planet through good design.
- We’re manufacturing now! Read more about how we are providing jobs for refugee women here in the US in this blog post. (link to other blog)
- By outsourcing manufacturing, I have more time to design and develop new sustainable products. We’ve added two new materials with this FW19 release - Recycled Rubber and Piñatex - and another new material to come before the end of the year.
- New website and branding! There are a lot of components to Dear Survivor, and it’s been challenging to share them all clearly and concisely. But our new site layout and copy translates everything we’re about.
- This journal! Excited to have this as a place to lift the curtain and share more in depth thoughts on why I’ve chosen to run my business in the way I do, and hopefully inspire others to empower people and planet through their companies as well.
Dear Survivor has always been my solo project, but this summer I’ve found a team of friends that have come alongside me and helped make all these changes come about. Shout out to Jason Stevens (web developer), Parker Design (graphic designers), Clark Jones (copy editor), Jazmine Brown (sustainability consultant), and Cody Howell (photographer, husband, and best friend). Thanks for entering into this project with me - it’s been fun!
